I designed the brand identity for this toy line sold at Build-A-Bear stores. The toy was a plastic egg that contained parts that could be assembled into a cute animal character. Kids were encouraged to mix animal parts and create their own fun characters. I worked with BABW's internal design team to create this fresh new sub-brand, while adhering to existing brand guidelines so that this new brand felt at home in Build-A-Bear stores.
Logo design, which uses the BABW brand color palette.
Below is the label for the egg. It utilized a 5 color print process (4 color plus white) on a clear plastic sleeve that was heat-shrunk onto the eggs. Distortion had to be accounted for when creating the art so that bar codes and other critical info could still be read after shrinkage occurred.
This box served as both a shipping carton and a Counter Display Unit (CDU). A bottom flap could be opened to serve as a tray to dispense the eggs.
